The Wrong Stars Wallpaper Set

The Wrong Stars Wallpaper Set

The-Wrong-Star_Hero.jpg

Based on one of the cosmic gaming mat paintings The Wrong Stars is a 2-piece HD wallpaper set now available in the shop for 99 cents. It was inspired by Hubble Telescope images of the Eagle Nebula and the following quote by philosopher Alan Watts.

"Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations."

Water Lilies

Wallpaper Wednesday continues with a revised and remastered blast from the past, Water Lilies. This was actually one of the first pieces I finished after creating the Soulcore.net brand so many years ago. Pro tip: keep all your PSDs, you never know when they might come in handy

Available in widescreen, standard, iphone & ipad formats.  As always the ZIP file has em' all.

Wallpaper Wednesday: Material Vessel

This week’s wallpaper is based on a piece from my illustration portfolio titled “Material Vessel”.

I’m often asked what it means and the closest I can get to explaining it properly is that it’s a self-portrait of the corporate drone I used to before I went freelance. Needless to say it holds a special meaning for me because of this.

As always Material Vessel is available in Widescreen, Standard, iPhone and iPad formats. Download the .ZIP file to get em’ all.

Wallpaper Collab

My friend and fellow Dallas area comic creator Samax Amen threw up a sketch on Twitter yesterday that got me inspired. With his permission I threw down some inks and colors and made a wallpaper out of it, the first wallpaper I've made in a year or two.

It's always fun to ink/color other people's pencils. It's nice to not be so attached to the original lines or the outcome and just have the freedom to improvise and do what feels inspired.

You can download the wallpaper below. And be sure and check out Samax's site GhettoManga for all things comics, hip-hop, art & pop culture.
